Abstract (EN)
The main object of this study is examination of the relationship between the level of depression and internet addiction among university students. Beck Depression Scale and Internet Addiction Scale were administered to 201 university students, consist of 123 women and 78 men. Level of depression was 16,4% and level of internet addiction was 15,9% in the study group. There was no significant corelation between depression and internet addiction; the levels of depression in the addicted and non-addicted groups were similar. There was no statistically significant relationship between the level of depressions of men and women. Thus, there was a statistically significant difference in respect to the duration of daily internet usage between the groups. The results of the study are discussed in the light of the related literature.
