Abstract (EN)
This study examines the relationship between physical literacy levels and body levels of universty students (students of sports sciences). It also aims to analyze this relationship in terms of variables such as age, gender, athlete status, type of sport and years of participation in sports. As subgoal the population of the study consists of students studying in sports sciences during the 2024-2025 academic year. The somple group inckdes students from the faculty of sport sciences at Muş Alparslan University. A totel of 270 participants task part in the study, inckding 128 females and 142 males. İn the data collection process, Personel İnformation form prepared by the reseacher, The Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument (PPLI) developed by Sum and his friends (2016) and adapted into Turkish by Munusturlar and Yıldızer (2020) after validity and reliability analyzes, and the Body Appericiation Scde (BAS) developed by Tylkaa and Wood Barcalov (2015) and adapted into Turkish by Anlı, Akın, Eker and Özçelik (2015) were used. The SPSS 22.0 software package were used during the process of the data analyzing. The margin of error was accepted as 0.05 skewness and Kurtasis values were found to be with in the acceptable range of -3 to +3, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The T- test was used for comperisans between to groups, one-way ANOVA was used for comparisons among three or more groups. To identify the source of significat differences LSO post- hoc test were used. In addition, correlation analysis was used todetermine the potential relationships between the variables in the study. The study found no significant differencesin physicalliteracy based on age, type of sport, or years of participation in sports. Howeversignificant differences were observed based on gender and athlete status. Similarly, no significant differences in body images were found based on age, type of sport, or years of participation in sports, but significant differences were observed based on gender and athlete status. A positive relationship was found between physical literacy and body image.
