Comparative analysis of the relationship between personal satisfaction and self-esteem of the universty students

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERSONAL SATISFACTION AND SELF-ESTEEM OF THE UNIVERSTY STUDENTS in this research, we aimed to examine that if there is any significant difference among undergraduate students' body image satisfaction and self esteem-level. We controlled university students' body satisfaction and self- esteem level. in frame of gender, age, education level of parents, fear of negative evaluation and social anxiety level. These differences were serviced in respect of students' own expressions. In this research, body image satisfaction and self-esteem level were explained through age, gender fear of negative evaluation and social anxiety level and if there are significant differences between body image satisfaction and self- esteem. We aimed to explain where these differences occur. This research was done with survey method. 290 university students were taken as a sample. "Beden Bölgelerinden ve Özelliklerinden Memnuniyet Ölçeği", "Social Apperance Anxiety Scale", "Rosenberg self esteem scale", "Fear of negative evaluation scale-short form" that was adapted into Turkish and their validity and reliability was done for Undergraduate university students by (Gökdoğan, 1988). According to this research which study if there is any significant difference undergraduate students' body image satisfaction and self esteem has some findings that male student body image satisfaction level is higher than female and there is a significant positive correlation between undergradute students' body image satisfaction with self esteem level. There is a significant negative correlation between body image satisfaction with fear of negative evaluation and social anxiety level.
