Özet (EN)

This study aims to determine undergraduate students? information and communication technology skills and attitudes to e-learning and investigate these in terms of different variables. Singular and relational survey model used in this study. The sample composed of 2949 undergraduate students in various faculties of Dokuz Eylul University in 2012-Spring term. These faculties are Buca Faculty of Education, Faculty of Maritime, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Business Administrative, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Nursing. Students from one class of each level of selected department of each faculty of Dokuz Eylul University aimed to be reached. The data were collected through a paper based survey composed of three parts. In the first part of the survey there are fifteen items about personal information and demographic information about students? usage of information and communication technology. In the second part there is a scale about information and communication technology skills and in the third part there is a scale about attitude to e-learning. The data were analyzed by a data analysis program by means of percent, frequency, mean, mode, median, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskall-Wallis, t-test, One Way ANOVA and CHAID analysis. The results showed that there were significant differences in the undergraduate students? information and communication technology skills with respect to gender, class level, foreign language level, experience in the use of computers and internet use frequency. There were significant differences in the undergraduate students? attitudes to e-learning with respect to gender, class level, foreign language level, internet use frequency, learning method, working style, learning style and motivation style. Also, according to the search results, the first level variable of information and communication technology skills is experience of using computer (less than a year, 1 to 3 years, 4 to 5 years, 6 to 7 years, more than 7 years ) and the first level variable of attitude to e-learning is learning method (face-to-face learning, blended learning, e-learning).Keywords: Information and communication technologies, e-learning, skill, attitude, undergraduate students.
