The examination of predictors of filial responsibility expectation of university student

Abstract (EN)

In this study, filial responsibility expectation of university students were examined in terms of various variables. The sample group of study consisted of Kafkas University students and their parents. 219 students, 235 mother and 274 father participated in this study so 728 person participated in total. Filial Responsibility Expectation Scale and Mother-Father Attitude Scale was applied. Independent Group t test, Variance Analyse and Regression Analyse was used on data of study. According to results, filial responsibiliy expectation levels of university students differed significantly according to variables of mother's age. Opposite of this, filial responsibiliy expectation levels of university students didn't differ significantly according to variables of gender, age, number of sibling, father's age, income, person who was stayed with, birth order, education level of parent. It was found that filial responsibility expectation of university students was predicted significiantly by variables of parental attitude (democratic, authorative and protecting-demanding) and filial responsibility expectation of mother.
