Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study to examine the relationships between the stress coping styles and perfectionism among university students. The type of research comparison is a descriptive study in relational survey model. Participants were 1002 university students attending in Cukurova University faculties that education, engineery, science literatüre and economics and administrative sciences in autumn semester of 2018-2019 academic years. The data of the present study was collected through adapted by Şahin and Durak (1995), Coping Style Inventory and adapted by Oral (1999), The Multidimensional Perfectionism. Data were analyzed by one way anova to find to relations between coping styles and perfectionism and its subscales of university students. As a result, high level self-oriented perfectionist students compared to medium and low ones use active coping styles more. There was no difference between total perfectionism and others-oriented perfectionism and active coping styles. In addition, low level other-oriented perfectionist studenst compared to medium and high ones and high level socially prescribed perfectionist compared to medium and low ones use passive coping styles more. The results of this study were contextualized in relation to existing research and possible implications for future research were suggested.
