Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between the social entrepreneurship antecedents of university students and their emotional intelligence levels in terms of various variables. The research was carried out with a total of 320 participant university students, 268 women and 52 men, studying at Bursa Technical University and Bursa Uludağ University. Findings from the research show that the level of self-control, which is the sub-dimension of emotional intelligence, is higher in those over the age of 41 than those in the 18-25 age range, while those with a history of entrepreneurship have higher sociability levels. Also, the subjective well-being and emotionality levels and total emotional intelligence scores of those who have role models in entrepreneurship are higher than those who do not have a role model. Besides empathy levels, which is the sub-dimension of social entrepreneurship precursors, of women are higher than men, and those in the 18-25 age range are higher than those above the age of 41. Furthermore, the empathy levels of those who do not have a history of entrepreneurship are higher than those with an entrepreneurial history, while the perceived social support levels of those with a history of entrepreneurship are higher than those without a history of entrepreneurship. In addition, social entrepreneurship antecedents do not differ according to whether they have entrepreneurship role models or not, while there was a positive but weak significant relationship between emotional intelligence and social entrepreneurial antecedents. Finally, the correlational relationships between the sub-dimensions of each variable were examined within the scope of the study and their findings were included. This research has been quantitatively constructed and a relational survey model has been used. The analysis of the data was carried out using the SPSS for Windows package program. In addition to demographic questions, Social Entrepreneurship Predecessors Scale and Emotional Intelligence Scale were used to determine the personal characteristics of the participants.
