Researching the effect of university students' assumptions related to the world on their anxiety and hopelesness levels (Yüzüncü Yıl University exaple)

To know about the anxiety and the hopelessness level of the young people is important because they're the people who are going to shape the future. The goal of the study is to determine the effect of young people's assumptions about the world on anxiety and hopelessness levels. Age of the literature review, a questionnaire has been applied on 295 students of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University from the social and physical sciences departments. In the questionnaire Beck anxiety scale, Beck hopelessness scale and world assumption scale having used. According to the results there is a negative relationship between the world assumptions and the hopelessness. With the increase of the world assumptions the hopelessness decreases (regression coefficient 0,359, F variable, F=6,663). The results also show that there is not a meaningful relationship between the world assumptions and the anxiety (p=0,036 level). The research has done only Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and this is the limitedness of this study. According to the results, improvement of the personal nonphysical values belief and eliminate the factors which cause the despair would be advised.
