Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the physical activity and quality of life levels and nutritional habits of personnel working at Muş Alparslan University. The study, conducted using the relational screening method, utilized the "Personal Information Form," the "International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), the WHO Quality of Life Scale," and the "Attitudes Toward Healthy Nutrition Scale." A total of 400 participants, 270 male and 130 female, from academic, administrative, and permanent staff at Muş Alparslan University, volunteered for the study. Descriptive statistics of the data and comparisons of two or more groups were performed using the T-Test and One-Way ANOVA software package, respectively, using SPSS 26.0, and a significance level of p<0.05 was accepted. While no significant differences were found between the sub-dimensions of the scale based on the income level variable of the participants, significant differences were found between gender, regular physical activity, and smoking levels (p<0.05). These findings demonstrate that individuals' lifestyle choices can directly affect their health-related behaviors and overall quality of life. Developing policies that support healthy living in institutions can increase the physical and psychological well-being of individuals. This will be an important step in this regard. In this regard, it is believed that studies supported by larger samples and targeted awareness programs will strengthen efforts in this area.
