Examination of university staff's perception of quality processes: Giresun University case

Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to reveal the perception levels of quality process of academic and administrative staff who are at the council of higher education in the position of internal partners. This research aims to develop a scale to measure the perception of academic and administrative staff at university concerning quality process and it is a kind of study related to the quality process of the staff's perception according to the variants like their gender, age and level of education. The study group of this research comprises 197 academic and administrative staff of Giresun University in 2019-2020 Educational Year at different units. The data of this research has been obtained by applying a scale named "The Scale of Quality Process Perception at Higher Education" to a study group developed by the researcher and it includes 26 articles. As a result of the analysis it has been observed that the perception of quality process academic and administrative staff who work at Giresun University does not vary according to their gender, age service life, the unit of staff and inservice training. On the other hand, it has been observed that the perception of quality study of the staff who take part in the study of quality is higher as the subscale of administration system; the quality process perception of academic staff is higher at the subscale of quality standard when compared with the administrative staff and general total points and quality standard subscale points of academic and administrative staff with postgraduate education are higher.
