Investigation of the relationship between the strategic plans of universities and their rankings on entreprenevrial and innovative indexes

The aim of study is to investigate whether strategic planning has an impact on the success and development of the universities, whether there is any contribution to the achievements and developments of the concepts they have stated in the strategic plans of the universities, and the success and the strategic plan relation. For this purpose, the concept of strategic planning was emphasized, strategic planning processes were explained, the transition to public strategic planning, its legal basis were explained, and the strategic planning in universities where our research area was studied. After all these explanations, a success ranking was determined in the light of this data (in the last 6 years) taken from the "Entrepreneur and Innovative University Index List" prepared by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology in order to examine the relationship between the strategic plans and developments of the universities. 9 universities were selected in order, and the strategic plans of these universities were compared with the help of various tables based on two terms and based on certain criteria. When we look at the strategic plans of the nine universities, it is generally understood that all of them are prepared in accordance with the guidelines and directives prepared for public administrations, but some of the universities are deficient in the criteria on which they are based. After the examinations were made, the relationship between the success rankings of the universities and the criteria taken as data in their strategic plans was examined.
