Özet (EN)

Adalet Ağaoğlu (1929-2020), one of the leading novelists, playwrights and essayists of Turkish literature, frequently dealt with social changes, individual depressions and gender inequalities in her works. Ursula K. Le Guin (1929-2018), one of the masters of the science fiction and fantasy genre in American literature, also wrote about gender, politics and inequality in her works. While Adalet Ağaoğlu's diary Damla Damla Günler I focuses on the author's inner world and social observations, Ursula K. Le Guin's essay/criticism book Dancing at the Edge of the World contains the author's literary and social thoughts. The aim of this study is to reveal the common themes, views and ideas of these two works, despite being produced in different geographies and literary traditions, in the light of comparative literature.
