Development of a decision support system for thecalculation of product lead time and its application in anagricultural machinery manufacturing company

Time is one of the most valuable resources in today's working conditions. One of the most important elements for customers is to get the deadline or date for the product or service they receive from the companies they work with as fast and accurate as possible. The concept of deadline is a very important concept both in terms of the efficiency of business processes and in terms of planning. Providing accurate deadline information enables the customer to manage production, shipment and inventory management more effectively and increases the reliability of the company. Especially in the agricultural sector, where competition is intense, competitors are many and the market is large, providing accurate deadline information has become a necessity, not a privilege, for companies that want to survive and develop. In this context, the agricultural sector, which is affected by seasonal cycles where time management is critical, has to provide customers with fast and accurate deadlines. Because the delivery time of agricultural machinery to farmers or dealers directly affects the timely realization of vital activities such as planting, harvesting and maintenance. For this reason, agricultural machinery manufacturers who want to provide their customers with up-to-date and accurate deadlines use various digital tracking systems and integrated order infrastructures. In this study, a Decision Support System has been developed to give deadlines quickly and reliably. Economic Production Quantity and Economic Order Quantity calculations, which are very important in order and production management calculations, were made to control production and order management. In addition to these, the work has been made even easier with ROP calculations. An Excel-based software was developed to determine the deadline. With the software prepared using the macro language in Excel VBA, the deadline and date were calculated instantly.
