Abstract (EN)
Acute upper GIS bleeding; It includes gastrointestinal bleeding from the upper part of the esophagus to the part where it determines the border of the treitz ligament in the duodenum. The clinic of upper GIS bleeding is asymptomatic stool from hidden blood table; melena contains a wide spectrum ranging from hematemesis to accompanying hypovolemic shock. Patients with upper GIS bleeding; They can come to the emergency room with complaints such as weakness, dizziness, paleness. When the vitals and laboratory values of the patients are examined, tachycardia, hypotension and normochrome normocytic anemia can be detected. Most bleeding stops without treatment. Endoscopy is used in both diagnosis and treatment With the development of endoscopic treatment methods in recent years, surgical treatment option has decreased a lot. Our study will examine the files of patients with upper GIS bleeding who applied to Dicle University Medical Faculty Emergency Department between 1 January 2016 and 1 January 2019 retrospectively from the hospital system. Application complaints, clinical features, investigations (laboratory, imaging), consultations and results, hospitalization and mortality of the cases were analyzed retrospectively. A total of 375 patients were included in the study over a 36-month period. In our study, patients under the age of 18, who could not be traumatized, endoscopy, and patients whose results and information were not available in the hospital data system were excluded from our study. When patients who did not meet the criteria were excluded, the study was completed with 316 patients. Keywords: GIS bleeding, NLR, MPV, PDW, RDW
