Abstract (EN)
History of the use of silk by humanity dates back to ancient times. It has carried importance for the later times. Central Asia's Turkish history is full of with battles for sovereignty of that route which is the way of trading precious fabric to other bazaars. China which is producer of the silk wants to control route of the good that is produced there. But, there are also other nations and peoples on the route. These people come across with China's defence because of their aim for capturing present riches. Mass resident civilizations such as Grecian-Rome, Iran and China have always attacked to weaker ones to eliminate them by domination and as a result, to conquer control of the riches and geostrategic regions. Military, political and diplomatic arguments are used to sovereign the route of Silk Road as a whole. Yet these actions have not helped development of the trade but recession on the route of Silk Road. Scythians, Huns, Kok Turks I-II and Orhon Turks were aware of commercial matter of caravans on that route. Moreover, not only the route was secured by them but also they trade on that route. As C. I. Beckwith says that Scythians have taught ancient world how to trade and how a civilization can survive with it. In this study; it is tried to be examined that from the beginning of Scythians origin how silk carries a significant role in effect over military, political and economic relations among Grecian-Rome, Iran, China, Huns, Kok Turks I-II, Orhon Turks and other Turkish tribes. Besides, it is understood that geographies stretch through the route are need to be handled as a whole for an accurate history comprehension. It is determined that politic wording of Grecian-Rome, Iran, China dynasties in ancient times has been used in the same way by their successors of present time. As they were ruling and invader empires yesterday, it is clear that there is no change in this matter today. It is seen that for their own benefit how policy of nomads changes rapidly among the Turks in Central Asia, how hostiles becomes allies and the other way round, in addition, government administration conducted by politic intrigues is also available for that time. It is realized that hypocrite political practice of China and pack of lies such as "barbarians' attacks from the north" are used to conserve their land and to cover their quest for invasion policy. It is tried to be narrated that silk and other commodities are not only transported stocks on Silk Road, but also spreading areas of culture and various mentalities which change societies by religious movements are carried by means of that route. Main subject of this study Orhon Uighur State's amicable policy, their conversion to Manichaeism from their old belief, advantages and disadvantages provided by Sogdians and their efforts in converting society is attempted to be examined in this study. It is aimed to evaluate contributions of that ancient Turkish tribe to arts and unique beauties in short.
