Abstract (EN)

The Uyghurs, who had an important place in Turkish history before Islam, established a state with their own clan names in 744. This state, which was formed by the union of tribes, continued the state tradition of the Göktürks and became the VIII. It has become one of the two most important powers of the century. Foreign policy, which developed in parallel with the power of the state, is one of the main elements that strengthen the power of the Uyghurs. The Uyghur State, which managed to develop a positive foreign policy with its neighbors, especially China, ruled for about a hundred years. The Uyghur State, based in Ötüken, was founded in 744 by Kutluk Bilge Kül Kağan. Their dominance, which reached its peak during the time of his successors Moyen Çor and Bögü Kağan, left the Chinese Empire and neighboring states in a difficult situation. The Ötüken Uyghur State, which entered a period of decline and collapses with the khanate of Uyghurs Tun Baga Tarkan, came to an end with the domination of another Turkish tribe, the Kyrgyz, during the reign of Üge Kagan. The surviving Uyghurs migrated to different regions and succeeded in establishing dominance in the new lands they came from. The Kan-Chou (Yellow Uyghurs) and Turfan (Kao-Ch'ang) the Uyghur States are states founded by immigrating Uyghurs. The Uyghurs, who have developed quite a lot in the social and cultural field, have developed a positive foreign policy with their neighbors by dealing with trade instead of an expansionist policy. They also played a role in the administration of states such as Mongols and Karakhanids established in Turkestan. The Uyghurs, who managed to establish a civilization that made a name for itself with both their geography and Turkish cultural accumulation in the historical process, today live under the same name and in their ancient lands.
