Abstract (EN)
The concept of qualification and skill mismatch is a sociological term that has been used with the increase in the rate of educated employees in western countries in the 1970s. In Turkey, it has been discussed for approximately 10 years as the increase in the educated working day has become an employment issue. From this perspective, this is a derivative of underemployment, which is concerned with how productively and effectively the workforce is involved in business life. In order to avoid negative consequences, it is a problem that requires to be evaluated with different aspects and to be determined and managed beforehand. In the research, both mismatch and job satisfaction was evaluated. Job satisfaction is the pleasure that an individual receives from the material and moral gains from work. Although it may seem like an individual phenomenon, its positive effects can be observed mass with effective management tools. From this perspective, analyzing the relationship between mismatch is very significant for both employees, employers and the policy makers. The aim of this research is to analyze the qualification and skill mismatch phenomenon together with its causes, effects and ways of existence and to determine its relationship with job satisfaction. The scope of the research is 21 electricity distribution companies operating in Turkey. Quantitative method was used in the research, and the online survey was shared with the companies. In line with the data obtained from 383 employees who participated in survey, it can be stated that there is a 18% rate mistmatch according to the job analysis control and 56% according to the employee perception. In the correlation analysis, it was determined that there is a very weak negative relationship between job satisfaction and vertical mistmatch, and a weak negative relationship between job satisfaction and horizontal mistmatch. It was understood that the relationship between maladaptive match and job satisfaction was not very statistically strong.
