Appraisal of computer training project implemented by distant in-service training system

Teachers? opinions related to computer training application via distant in service training method being implement by Ministry of National Education have been appraised in this research. Population of research compries 231 teachers, who participated in computer training application via distant in service training method, at 31 schools in Karabük. The whole population has been consdered for sampling. Literature searching and questionnare technique have been applied in the research as data collecting means. The analysis in connection with the results of the questionnaire have been analysed via program. Data frequency, percentage segments have been calculated and commented on so as to determine the viewpoints of teachers on the application and to obtain the profile of teachers who have contributed to computer traing via distant in-service training method. Furtermore, arithmetical aveage of teaacher? viewpoints and general arithmetical averages have been calculated. Krushal-Wallis test and Mann Whitney U test have been applied to find out whether the viewpoints of teachers who participated in Computer Training Project by Distant in-Service Training System with respect to implementation vary as of gender, branch, age, type and location of schools they graduated from; and test results have been appraised. As a result of research, it has been determined that teachers are acquainted with distant training activity with the teachers? training project via distant in service training method and that more than half will prefer distant training for their further in-service training as they deem it useful. Great majority of teachers think that computer training application via distant in service training method is productive in respect to its installation and operating, content , inquiry technics, documentation and support, communication and guidance.
