For about 70 years, biocompatible materials made of polymers have revolutionized. In order to provide the functional performance demands of new applications, biocompatible and biodegradable new high-performance polymers obtained from fossil-based sources are produced. The aim of this project is to produce high-performance polymers using recycling energy. In order to convert the produced high-performance polymer into a nano-crystalline form, we need to go through a series of processes. The purpose of this is to separate the cellulose, which is our main material, from its unwanted by-products and to get it purer. Cellulose is one of the most abundant organic polymers with a high degree of reactive surface functional groups, as well as attractive properties such as biodegradability, chemical resistance and thermal stability. From this point of view, it is a natural polymer with the desired properties for bioengineering studies. Cellulose and cellulosnanocrystals have been obtained from different plant sources in the literature. Our goal here is to use grape waste, which is overproduced worldwide, and compare the products obtained using different concentrations in isolation processes. With this project, it is aimed to obtain the nanocrystalline form of cellulose by recycling from grape pomace and to conduct a preliminary study for the new projects that will be produced in the future with our high-performance polymer that we will produce.
