Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of academic staff?s performance appraisal systems on the education quality.The model of the study is generally descriptive in nature. However, it also includes survey methodology in terms of data collection. A questionnaire is used to collect primary data. The questionnaire was developed on the basis of literature review.The scope of the research is private universities under the control of High Education Council. The questionnaire has been applied to academic staff in these universities. Data were analyzed using frequency method.According to research findings, the main performance appraisal factors were determined are teaching performance, the number of academic publications, the contribution to department and university, and students? average grades. The study concludes that the use of teaching performance, students? average grades and the number of academic publications as performance appraisal criteria has on the effect of education quality.
