Özet (EN)
This study was developed in order to provide better understanding of the behavior of reinforced concrete shear walls under lateral loads such as earthquake and wind loads. An experimental study (from the literature model) was modeled and analyzed via ATENA 2D Engineering to ensure that model correction was implemented. The analysis method was selected as a nonlinear finite element analysis. The results of the experimental model and the analytical model were compared and it was observed that their structural behaviors were very similar. 2016 reinforced concrete shear walls with different parameters were modeled and analyzed via ATENA 2D, using the features of this analytical shear wall model, whose accuracy was ensured. The 2016 model was also analyzed using the nonlinear finite element analysis method. These models were modeled and analyzed by changing the concrete class, shear wall thickness, reinforcement ratio, height, b/ℓ ratio and axial load parameters. As a result of these analysis procedures, many findings have been reached. The effects of these parameters on load carrying capacity and crack width were observed. It has been observed although the height is increased and the load carrying's capacity decreases, the ductility of the reinforced concrete shear wall increases. In addition, it was observed that high shear walls are more durable when they are under the higher axial load. Key Words: RC Shear Wall, Non-Linear Finite Element Method, Lateral Load, Load Carrying Capacity, Crack Width
