Van savatlı silver jewelry in the province

Art begins with the history of mankind. It is one of the passionateof mankind that adorns themselves ,the environment where they live and the belongings which they use.There is a important place of mining art among the art branches.Since Near East territories are rich at mining,there has been a big role of development of this art.Firstly in Van the niello,which came throught the Hazar Turks to Anatolia,has been made in many province.The niello, which is one of the traditional silver jewellery adornment techniques, acquired by being put the prepared niello in the way of rubbing and planting into cannals opened with pens on production,by holdig towards oven fire and when smelting niello fills in spaces,by being left to get cooler and made several smoothings on cooled niello and with being varnished silver.This research consists of five part.The first part of research consists of the problem,aim of research,importance of research,suppositions,limitations and definitions.In the second part is given conceptional frame and under title of related researchs,definitions of region and information related with silver embroidery.In the third part there are the model of research,universe and sampling the technique of collecting materials,analysis of materials.In the fourth part there are discoveries and comments.In the fifth part there are results and suggestions.Fourty-three pieces maden by niello technique,which are been in the Museum of Van in research and in special collection in Van,have been taken in considiration.The care of research consists of jewellery,designer,those who working in work-shop, which is chosen the province of Van and produced varieties of production.
