Abstract (EN)

Turkish nationalism is an understanding that has continued throughout history in terms of meaning, and it is possible to find the traces of Turkish nationalism in the first written Turkish sources. The understanding of nationalism that swept the world after the French Revolution caused serious damage to multinational states with the uprising of various nations. The Ottoman State also organized various reforms in order to stop these rebellions, and at the same time, Ottoman intellectuals brought out various ideas and currents of thought. However, these regulations could not fully quench the fire of nationalism. Various publications have emerged with the idea of Turkism that developed at the beginning of the 20th century. Important thinkers who own these publications and ideas have gathered around various institutions and organizations. This institution, which is the main subject of our thesis, the Türk Ocağı and Türk Yurdu Journal, which is within the body of the institution, works for the benefit of the Turkish nation and continues its activities today. In the first part of this work, the historical analysis and activities of the Türk Ocağı and the development of the concept of Turkism, which is the symbol of the Türk Ocağı, was mentioned. In the second part, the history, content and activities of Türk Yurdu Journal were examined. Finally, in the third section, a comprehensive summary of the scientific articles published in Türk Yurdu Journal between 1911-2020 about the patriotism was made.
