Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the legal rights, responsibilities and limits of parents' custodial rights related to children's education by considering the national laws in Turkey, laws of some European countries and by analyzing some relevant national and international legal practices. Towards this purpose, related national and international laws and regulations, legal cases, court decisions about these cases and the principles behind these decisions as well as academic research and documents are reviewed. As such, the study is qualitative in nature, with mainly descriptive analyses of written national and international documents. Key words: Children's Rights, Custody, Children's Educational Rights
