Abstract (EN)

Venice Carnival is one of the most celebrated carnivals traditionallycelebrated in Venice every year. The reason why the carnival, which is in theforeground with its masks and costumes, is important in society in terms of thesociological aspects of the examination of this study, is that the historians and theexpressions of ceramic masks are conveyed as real faces. It explains how masks havebecome a symbol of the past, what purpose it is used for, theater, festival and carnival. It is a material that can be used to form clay. The glaze process on theserami is suitable for giving the expressions on the mask. In the application works,costumes made of masculine made of plaster mold modeled and cast hand madeceramics and paper were made. The aim is to re-interpret the masks and costumes bycreating Venetian carnival air on the canvases. The reflection of the actual faces underthe masks reflects the past and today's legends, carnival's history, social differences interms of exit points.
