Abstract (EN)
V. cracca L. is a plant with important potential in traditional medicine therapy. Although many studies have been conducted on other species of this plant from the legume family and the data have been presented in the literature, the V. cracca L. plant has not been sufficiently researched. In this study, LC-MS/MS and QTOF-LC/MS analyzes of the V. cracca L. plant, which was extracted with different solvents, were performed to determine its phytochemical compounds as well as its enzyme inhibitory effects. When the content analysis results of plant extracts were examined, it was understood that the most phenolics in total were in ethanol extracts. It was determined that the highest contents of ethanol, acetone and water extracts were cyanidin-3-o-glucoside, keracyanin chloride and naringin, respectively. Additionally, the enzyme inhibitory properties of the plant were tested against cholinesterases (AChE and BChE) and xanthine oxidase (XO). According to the results obtained, when the inhibition capacities of the extracts against AChE and BChE enzymes were examined, it was determined that the branch extracts of the plant had the highest inhibition ability with IC 50 values of 0.346 mg/mL (R 2 : 0.916) and 0.110 mg/mL (R 2 : 0.924), respectively. When the capacity of V. cracca L. extract to inhibit the XO enzyme was examined, the highest activity was respectively; It was determined that 0.675 mg/mL (R 2 : 0.937) in leaf extract, > 0.745 mg/mL (R 2 : 0.974) in branch extract, and > 1.397 mg/mL (R 2 : 0.933) in seed extract. The findings obtained indicate that the V. cracca L. plant is an important resource for the pharmaceutical and food industries and may provide new horizons for future studies on this plant.
