Abstract (EN)

This study aims to reveal how the basic knowledge of piano tuning and maintenance is gained to music educators with the video-assisted teaching model and to introduce the piano tuning and maintenance to music educators. In this respect, educational material has been prepared for educators to solve the tuning problem encountered in the use of the piano and to include regular piano maintenance information. This training package bears significance in terms of being a resource for solving problems related to the piano. The experimental method was used to determine the effectiveness of the video-assisted teaching model for piano tuning and maintenance teaching on the solution of the piano tuning problem and the acquisition of regular piano maintenance knowledge. The research was designed based on the single group pre-test and post-test experimental design mode. The research group consists of music teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in our country, and the sample consists of 10 music teachers who can be reached through convenience sampling method and who use acoustic piano effectively in their lessons. As a result of the research, it was observed that the teachers' level of knowledge on piano tuning and maintenance increased significantly after the video-assisted training. The video-assisted teaching model and the piano tuning and maintenance training processes are thought to attract the attention of music teachers who are interested in this field and contribute to their professional development.
