Abstract (EN)
Wire ropes are indispensable elements used in load lifting machines due to their flexibility and high strength. They consist of several thin wires wound around a core. They work according to the principle of equally sharing the burdens to the ties that lie together with the shape tie. In this thesis, 3D models of wire ropes with complex structures are formed and axial forces are applied to the models to determine the elongation under load. The consistency of the computer analyzes with the tensile tests made has been investigated. In the second part of the thesis, general information about wire ropes is given. In the third chapter, information on rope production is given. In the fourth chapter, modeling of the rope using Solidwork software is explained in detail. In the fifth section, information about the finite element method is given and analysis processes under axial load are explained using the Ansys software of the models created in the sixth section. In the seventh section, the preparation of the samples, the tensile test and the tensile test results are explained and the analysis and test results are compared in the eighth section. Results and suggestions were presented at the end of the workshop. There are many studies in the literature on wire ropes. The aim of the thesis; to compare the validity of the design program and the wire rope models made in one goxv with the test procedures, taking into account the post-production measurements of the design process. A new way of performing the drawing in the computer environment has been searched and the feasibility and the suitability of the analysis of the complex design have been investigated.
