Aspect of instuctor and pupil knowledge levels in line with luthier remarks on violoncello care

Research; It is a "descriptive study of determining the situation" in the measurement of the care education of violoncello students studying in different education in different institutions. In the literature, it is noteworthy that there is insufficient literature on instrument maintenance and repair. From this point of view, it is considered important that this study, especially for the cello instrument, separates it into this field. In the research for this; A total of 72 undergraduate and graduate students studying mostly in education faculties, 33 cello teachers teaching at different institutions and luthiers in 5 different profiles were reached, and the importance of music teachers-violoncello teacher candidates and violoncello teachers were discussed together with the suggestions of luthiers. Continuation of work; It was determined that the cleaning of the wire, touch, spring and front plate parts, which should be cleaned routinely before or after the research, was applied by 30-40% and 20-40% of the teachers. It was determined that the ratios of students and teachers, which coincide with the luthier views on the materials used for cleaning this media, are around 70-80%, and the student and teacher options of those who use materials that can be seen as harmful by luthiers are around 10%. It was determined that the rate of teachers who can make the wire change by themselves for the minimum operations that can be done by the player, such as wire change and threshold adjustment, and the rate of not being able to set the threshold, which is high 80-90%, is 30%, and the teachers 10%. It was determined that the rate of using handmade instruments is 85% for teachers and 30% for students. All of the working group ix luthiers use it that the handmade instrument is healthier. It has been determined that the rate of food that regularly takes his instrument to professional care is 15% and that of teachers 50%.
