Abstract (EN)

Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin is an intellectual and orientalist person who lived in the Fergana region between 1876-1918. During the years Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin lived in the Turkestan region, he worked in various fields such as military, military-civil, civil-officiality and private affairs. He wrote many articles, reports and books about the Fergana region in these areas where he worked. With these studies, Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin is a source for the political, social, economic, cultural and geographical issues of the region in the 19th century. No independent study has been conducted in our country on Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin. In the studies carried out in various fields on the Turkestan region, the works of his were used as the main source. The subjects on which the works of Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin are used as a source are such field the political history of the Turkestan Khanates, education in the Turkestan Khanates, madrasas and foundations, the nomads, semi-nomads and settled peoples living in the Fergana region, the social and cultural life of the Fergana region. The aim of the study is to reveal the biography of this famous intellectual orientalist in detail, to introduce and analyze his the prominent works and to present them to General Turkish History researchers. The main sources of the study will be are the articles and works of Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin, publications of interviews with the Nalivkin's daughter, daughter-in-law and grandchildren are published, and various works and articles about himself published in Russia. With this study, it is aimed to have extensive knowledge about the biography of Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin. By examining the important works of Vladimir Petrovich Nalivkin, his contributions to General Turkish history research will be tried to be revealed.
