Investigation of the effect of processing the systems unit in our body with augmented reality on academic success

The importance of visuality in concretizing abstract concepts is emphasized with different studies every day. Although sometimes two-dimensional visuals and sometimes three-dimensional materials have been used, virtual reality, augmented reality, etc. have been used recently. digital applications such as The aim of this study; It is to examine how the systems in our body unit, which is included in the 6th grade curriculum, shows a success change thanks to augmented reality applications. For this purpose, the study, which was carried out on a sample group of 49 6th grade students, was carried out with a total of 49 students, 21 in the experimental group and 28 in the control group. The study lasted for 6 weeks, 3 weeks with the control group and 3 weeks with the experimental group. A total of 36 lesson hours, 6 hours per week, were practiced. In the research, the systems in our body achievement test, which is one of the quantitative data collection tools, was used. Considering the findings obtained as a result of the study, it was seen that the students contributed positively to the success of the students after they studied the systems in our body unit in the 6th grade science lesson using augmented reality applications.
