Evaluation of effectiveness of web based family planning consultancy service

SUMMARY Object: In this research, it was aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of web based family planning consultancy service. Materials and Methods: The research is descriptive type and web based family planning is carried out with all the individuals who want to get counseling service (N: 100). The data of the research were collected in accordance with the related literature by using the questionnaires prepared by the researchers "Family Planning Pre-Counseling Questionnaire" and "Family Planning Questionnaire After Counseling".The pre-counseling questionnaire for family planning consists of 12 questions for determining the socio-demographic characteristics of the individuals and 18 questions for determining the knowledge and experience about family planning methods total of 30 questions.The data were analyzed using SPSS 15.00 using the number, percentage distribution, McNemar test and Chi-square test. Findings: 52,0% of web-based counseling services are found to be under 25 years old and 48,0% are over 25 years old.The average age of the counseling areas is 27,48 ± 7,502 and the minimum (min): 17 is the maximum (max): 49; the median value of the average age is 25,0. 72,0% of the individuals who receive counseling services are women and 28,0% are men. 85,0% of the individuals receiving counseling services reported that they knew the methods of family planning and 15,0% did not know the methods. Results: The web-based family planning consultancy service was seen to meet most of the expectations of the individuals involved in the research. Individuals participating in the research have increased their knowledge of family planning methods after counseling. Key Words: Web-based consulting, Family planning, Web
