Abstract (EN)
The study consists of two stages. The aim of the first phase is to determine the Turkish validity and reliability of the "Self Rated Abilities for Health Practices Scale (SRAHP)". The purpose of the second phase, the experimental part, is to examine the effect of web based educatıon related to Gestational Diabetes Mellitus on women health management self efficacy and maternal-fetal-neonatal results. In the first stage, which was designed in methodological type, the validity and reliability of the draft version of the Self Rated Abilities for Health Practices Scale in pregnant women with GDM (n=221) were evaluated. In the second stage, whose was conducted a randomized control study, 31 pregnant women were included in the intervention group and 34 pregnant women in the control group. For 8 weeks, web-based education for GDM was offered to pregnant women who diagnosed with GDM for the first time. The data were collected before web based education, after web based education and postpartum between 4-12 weeks at three different times. In the evaluation of the data, repeated measures ANOVA, t test in independent groups and chi-square test were used. The explained rate of variance of scale is 50.7% in the first stage findings. Confirmatory factor analysis results were acceptable and goog fit. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the scale was found to be 0.91. With the web based education applied in the second stage, it was determined that the Self Rated Abilities for Health Practices Scale level of the pregnant women in the intervention group increased statistically significantly compared to the pregnant women in the control group (p = 0.004). After the web based education, there was no significant difference between the intervention group and the control group in terms of maternal, fetal and neonatal complications developed during the process (p = 0.951). As a result; It has been determined that the Self Rated Abilities for Health Practices Scale is a culturally acceptable tool. It was found that the web based education of GDM, that given in the second stage, significantly increased the self-efficacy of the pregnant women, but did not affect the results of maternal, fetal and neonatal complications.
