The most efficient one among these combinations in the light of today?s technology is the Web-based Distance Education. Attaining of the Web-based Distance Education to its aim mostly depends on the correct selection of the instructional model used. In this study, two different instructional materials, one of which is video-assisted instructional method, and the other one is the animation-assisted instructional method had been prepared. These instructional materials are the materials containing the logic gate module of the Digital Electronics Course. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the materials prepared according to two different instructional models on the student achievement. Accordingly, these instructional materials had been published on the internet, and brought into the use of the students reading at 10 A class of Akhisar Anatolian Technical High School. The data obtained while the students were working on these materials had been recorded on the database, and the feedbacks belonging to education process had been analysed by using the data mining techniques. At the end of this analysis, it has been determined that the video-assisted instructional material affected the student achievement more positively than the animationassisted instructional material.
