Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, x band microstrip patch loop antenna was designed and fed by using coaxial probe, microstrip line, proximity coupled and aperture coupled methods. In order to understand, how the feding methods affects the antenna performances, the patch dimensions of antennas and dielectric base thickness were kept constant while feding methods and dimensions were changed. In these designs, FR – 4 and Rogers RT – 5880 delectric materials were used. The bandwidth of the designed anttennas was between 260 MHz and 1160 MHz and the gain was between 4.6 dB and 9.35 dB. The antenna designs were carried out by using Ansys HFSS programme which solves electromagnetic strucures by finite elements method.
