The 11th-13th centuries are the turning points of the world history. While theByzantine was going to the decline process as politic in this preiod the Turkish andIslam power came to the important point on the world policy in the east. The greatpolitic and religious phenomenons got into motion because of the change of thebalances of the world policy. In this action , the Byzantine church played an importantrole, too. But, for centuries, despite the competition among theirselves, the Byzantineand Rome Churches continued to the unity up to 11th century. But since 11th century, theByzantine church has beeen separated form the Rome church about the religion asformal. But the devolopments caused that the Byzantine church tended to the Romechurch again. And this tending started the Crusades. These compaigns was not onlydefence wars with religious quality, but also, the newe period started with thosecompaigns. The West went out the stifling period and was the biggest power of thefature centuries. And Byzantine didn?t prevent the spreading of the Turkish and Islamand didn?t escape from being torned.In the 11th-13th centuries the Byzantine church was, in these important politicdevelopments every time.Even, sometimes it was the power that was tended thesepolitic phenomenors, itself. The religious idea speraments in the Byzantine church,caused the politic seperaments, this effected the social structue of the Byzantine.Briefly, Byzantine church was in the policy and economy and also the policy andeconomy were in the Byzantine church.Key words: Byzantine, Rome, Church, Christianity, East, West, Crusades
