16 th century classical ottoman poet Hudayi's life work of art literatiy personality and comparative text of his collected poems

Hudâyî, is a 16th century classical Otoman poet. No information about his date of birth was given in the history and notes of literature. However, the sources that had mentioned about the poet himself agree that he was born in Istanbul. In the petition that was in the form of apoem which he presented to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. He statde that he was aslave of the Sultan. He was taken into ?Inexperienced Boys Organization? and he stayed in this organization for fifteen years. After that, he joined into ?Janissary Organization? and he served as asoldier for twenty- one years. It?s known that the first military expedition that Hudâyî the poet had taken part in was the German expedition that was in the period of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. After the Germany expedition, he stated that he was charged in the organization of ?Sekban-ı Cedit? for ten years. He became an infantry after too much service, his salary was taken from him , and this situation had extremely upset him. Iı order to get his salary back, he presented a petition that was written in verse. After this petition, his salary was given back and he was sent to Budin as a Janissary clerk. Hudâyî is a seconder poet who was mentioned about in the history of literature and of whose poems and the mastery of saying a poem was praised by the notables of his period. The only known work of art of Hudâyî is his collected poems ( divan) that consist of thirty- eight sheet. In the notes and books of literature history, it is stated that, according to some sources, Hudâyî the poet died in 1570, whereas others, he died according to others, he died in 1571 in Mecca.
