In today?s society, where the age of an average internet user has decreased and the rate of the internet usage has increased; so many factors, including education, marital status, occupation, monthly income and status affect people's usage of the internet. People were born in specific decades, and who share similar experiences and responsibilities are called as a generation. Since the 1950?s, there have been various suggestions on different generation types, each characterized by different qualities. It is critically important for the businesses to consider online shopping attitudes in detail to meet the expectations of their potential and existing customers through comparing the needs, wants and expectations of different generation markets. The aim of this research is to investigate the effects of technological progress which have recently occured especially with regards to online shopping of travel products and to assess online shopping attitudes towards travel products of the Generation Y in Turkey.
