Examination of "Yedi iklim Turkish Teaching Set" which is used in teaching Turkish as a foreign language in terms of multiple intelligence theory

The aim of this study is to examine "Yedi İklim Turkish Teaching Set" which is used in teaching Turkish as a foreign language in terms of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. In this study, the document analysis method is used. The sample of the study consists of lecture, study and teacher guide books (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). In the study, examining all activities in the course and workbooks were determined which areas of intelligence the activities are related to and were found the percentages of activities in total intelligence areas. Then, the lecture, study and teacher guide books of the set were grouped as A, B and C levels and the percentage ratios of intelligence areas within the groups were calculated. In the continuation of the study, calculating how many percent and which level were used each of the intelligence areas in the course, study and teacher's guidebooks, the percentages of the intelligence areas between the levels are compared. As a result of the research, it was concluded that generally the verbal-linguistic intelligence was used in Yedi İklim Turkish Teaching Set. But regarding the theory of multiple intelligences with the eight criteria of abilities, where the individual differences are selected as the baseline, it can be seen that these eight criteria doesn't have a balanced coverage throughout this set.
