Özet (EN)

In foreign language teaching, in order to develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, it is important to teach well-chosen vocabulary and use suitable methods in vocabulary teaching. By teaching proper vocabulary items in a short time, the rate of achievement in teaching Turkish as a foreign language will surely increase. The number of the studies on teaching language with technology- based methods through determined vocabulary for foreign language teaching has increased so far. As written language consists of structures and determined vocabulary, foreign language teaching by the study of spoken language frequency will reflect real life more realistically. The output vocabulary of this study will contribute to speaking skills of Turkish as a foreign language learner since this specific study is conducted on frequency of spoken language. The study aims to determine by learning which vocabulary items the learners? of Turkish as a foreign language will be more successful. For this purpose, data collected from spoken language patterns are transmitted to computer software. Then, the study is ended up with frequency of Turkish words by assessing how often the data is used. In this study, 1000 voice records, taken from 3 different experts, each lasting 3 minutes, are used. A frequency study is conducted on 304.479 words in this period. With data collected from environments representing spoken Turkish and determining frequency of spoken Turkish, we try to give an answer to the question of priority of which vocabulary should be presented in teaching Turkish as a foreign language.
