Abstract (EN)
Language is the most important tool to communicate. Language acquisition is based on pre-school period; language teaching occurs in two different ways as one's mother tongue and foreign language. In Turkey, besides mother tongue based education, teaching Turkish as a foreign language becomes important day by day. Even though the history of teaching Turkish to foreigners dates back to the old times, there are still some issues about this field, particularly in practical terms and seeking for different solutions to these problems continues. These issues that stem from different variables maintain being the subject of many research. The fact that foreign students who want to learn Turkish have problems especially in the use of noun suffixes forms the basis for the preparation of this study. In this direction, the 100 most frequently used verbs in Turkish were selected and the sentences containing these verbs were scanned in the textbooks of Istanbul Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language A1-A2-B1-B2-C1 levels. In this way, a result has been revealed on the noun case suffixes and the relations of the verbs.
