Özet (EN)

This study which aims at determining the types of mistakes that foreigners learning Turkish as a foreign language makes regarding nominal case morphemes and it attends to find answers to the following questions. 1. How are nominal case morphemes handled in traditional grammar books? 2. How do linguists deal with nominal case morphemes? 3. How are nominal case morphemes treated in books teaching Turkish to the foreigners? 4. What type of mistakes do foreigners learning Turkish as a foreign language make regarding nominal case morphemes? 5. What are the most common mistakes made by foreigners learning Turkish as a foreign language? 6. How could nominal case morpheme be taught? The data of our study comprises the written composition papers of learners currently studying at Ankara University TÖMER and their graduates. These papers are written by learners not from a single country but from various countries. The results show that there are so many mistakes by learners at different levels regarding nominal case morhemes. The types and percentages of these mistakes are highlighted. The study winds up by some suggestions as to how nominal case morphemes should be taugth.
