Abstract (EN)

Today, it is observed that the individual and therefore society are experiencing alienation intensively in everyday life. The innovations brought by time have taken away many things from people. The hollow man has become an empty, soulless and meaningless entity. Human beings are alienated to human self, their surroundings, and most importantly to their own souls. The intimate life of the old has been replaced by split fake human relations. A person with no soul is struggling to live in an empty, hopeless life. Values have lost their meaning for them. The person who could not find anything meaningful to put in the center of his life has lost his self-knowledge. In life, virtual love, love, deities are sought to taste in artificial meanings by acquiring. Life is felt as it is felt but as it is felt by others. In this thesis, which aims not to solve the alienation problem, the object of the review is the film of the Hungarian director Béla Tarr's The Devil's Tangos (1994). According to the thesis, this film represents meaningless lives that are incompatible with modern life. In the film, the reflection of the unhappiness that emerged from what the system promises to man is revealed in a striking way. Therefore, in this film, the alienation that makes people feel distinctly towards the social dimension from the psychological dimension and defines today's people is the main concept that this thesis tries to solve. In this study, "The problem of alienation and the reflection of alienation to everyday life: Film analysis of 'Sátántangó'', which discusses the alienation and its effects in everyday life" a literature survey on the concept of alienation was carried out by applying sociological criticism method, and the process of conceptualization of alienation was introduced by reading from the theoretical sources and academic studies on the subject. This study consists of three parts. In the first section entitled "alienation and alienation in everyday life", the problem of alienation is explained in the context of different discipline and various thinkers, taking into consideration the purpose and limitations of the study, instead of the individual and detailed explanation of all approaches that address the problem of alienation within the social life perspective. . Later, the theories that put alienation in the inner and social dimensions to the fore, and the reflections of alienation in the identity-free individual played in everyday life and who lost himself at the end of the game were handled. In the second part entitled "alienation in everyday life: analysis of Sátántangó film", it is aimed to make the alienation seen in the light of the alienation theories introduced by thinkers visible. The "conclusion" section of the study included the interpretation and evaluation of alienation, which is felt subjectively and internally through social relations, which takes an identity in abstraction and is reflected to society in everyday life.
