Eve in the Jewish scriptures

The aim of this study is to reveal the life of Eve and her position in the Jewish perspective within the framework of the events of "Creation and original sin".The story of man's creation and original sin have an important place in Judaism and the Old Testament. Fundamental arguments about creation and original sin play a fundamental role in understanding the gender roles of men and women. For this reason, in order to better understand the place of women in social life, Eve's life is discussed based on Canonical and Apocrypha texts. The study consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion. In the introduction part, information about the subject, purpose, sources and scope of the research was given, and the difficulties encountered were mentioned by presenting the method we used in the study. In the first chapter, the reason for the creation of man according to the Torah is briefly mentioned. Later on, the creation of man was mentioned because the word Adam contains both masculinity and femininity. In the continuation, two different creation stories about the creation of woman are discussed based on the relevant chapters in Genesis. Then, the creation of woman in the Midrash literature was examined. Then, the creation of woman is discussed by comparing it with the relevant passages in Genesis, based on some Apocrypha and Pseudepigraphic books. In the Second Chapter, events such as Eve and Adam's eating of the forbidden tree in Eden and their expulsion from Eden are discussed . In this context, the tree of life, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, was emphasized, and then the original sin, which was committed after being eaten from the forbidden tree, was discussed. Then, the penalties given are discussed. In the third chapter, after the expulsion of Eve and Adam from Eden, where they lived in the world and the process of getting used to the worldly life were mentioned. Then, the children of Eve born from Adam are mentioned. Then, based on some mystical accounts in connection with the original sin, the children of Eve born from Samuel are mentioned. When Adam got sick and died, the experiences and feelings of Eve were mentioned, and then this chapter was concluded with the death and burial of Eve.
