The angel belief in judaism

In this study, the angelic belief in Judaism is discussed. The study consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, information about the subject, importance, aim, method, limitations and sources of our study were given. In the first part, the angels and similar beings in some religions before Judaism were reviewed, then the etymological analysis of the concept of an angel in Judaism was made, and then the other metaphysical beings with similar features were discussed. Then, the origin of angels, when they were created, their gender, the equivalence of belief in angels in the Jewish sects, their appearance on earth were examined. In the second part, after mentioning the number of angels, the angels were classified and these angels were introduced. In the third chapter, a number of tasks and features that angels possess or that people attribute to them are explained. In the conclusion part, the evaluation was made in the light of the information we obtained in our research. Keywords: Angel, Sons of God (Bene Elohim), Archangels, Fallen Angels.
