Abstract (EN)

The aim of our research is to examine the relationship between relationship stability, tolerance of distress and responsive love in close relationship. The research group consist of 200 participants, 163 women and 37 men who are in romantic relationships over the age of 18 and live in various provinces of Turkey. In the line with the purpose the data were evaluated through the 'Demographic Information Form' 'Relationship Stability Scale' 'Distress Tolerance Scale' and 'Responsive Love Scale'. In the study, independent samples t-test was used for pairwise group comparisons and one way ANOVA test was used for multiple group comparisons.Pearson correlation analysis was applied to determine the predictive relationship between the variables. All the analyses were performed using IBM SPSS statics (v.26) and the significance level was accepted as p=0.05 in all analyses. As a result of the research, it was determined that responsive love scores (p=0.020) significantly predicted relationship stability and the responsive love parameter had a positive effect on the relationship stability variable ,thus increasing this parameter. It was observed that distress tolerance scores did not significantly predict relationship stability.
