Production improvement studies in a powder paint production operation with lean production techniques

In the 1950s, production techniques began to be used to meet the needs of customers at a lower cost, whose Toyota company made its pioneering role in Japan in the 1950s and whose name was spelled out as lean manufacturing. Lean production system is based on less energy, less time, fewer resources and fewer mistakes to be made, and the customer can offer products with less cost. This method of production has not attracted much attention until 1970. But with the 1970 economic depression and the oil crisis, lean manufacturing philosophy has quickly begun to see the value it deserves and is being implemented by businesses. In time, the philosophy of lean manufacturing has emerged and companies that produce with this philosophy have come to an advantageous position in the market by gaining cost advantages against their competitors. Nowadays, everything from livestock to the automotive industry has begun to be implemented in every field and its use is spreading rapidly. In this study; lean manufacturing system, the quality improvement methods which are one of the most important issues in the implementation of the fired production and the application of these techniques in the special effects facility in the powder coating industry are examined. Because the application is a project, it is handled with the project approach and every step of the project approach is applied as much as possible.
