Sustainable building design with building information management technology

Today ,together with the increasing need for comfort, the energy needs of especially residences and all buildings are provided from fossil energy sources which cannot be replaced in the short term. For this reason there is a fossil resources that threatens the energy needs of future generations and environmental problems occur do to the use of fossil resources. It has been observed that the amount of energy used by the buildings from the constructions phase to the time they finish their life processes is quite high. Due to the wrong decisions taken during the design phase, it creates an additional pressure on the use of mechanical energy in the construction and building usage phases. The "Sustainability" approach, which has become a necessity rather than a choice in the construction sector, as it is in every field, has been examined on an urban and structural scale with its basic principles and application methods. The concept of "Sustainability in Buildings", the design measures taken in the early stages of the construction process and the programs that provide design and analysis support are examined. The library structure named K- Odak was modeled using the "Autodesk Revit" program and energy analysis was performed with the "Autodesk Insigt" energy simulation program. Then, the main idea of the thesis, "Sustainability", and its relationship with the subject of "Energy Conservation and Saving in Buildings" were supported with different improvement studies and scenarios.
