Effect of configurative approach in teaching of mathematic lesson to the success level of the students at the seventh class of primary school

The purpose of this study is, to make the analysis of how the constructivist learning approach affects the success and attitude of the students at the mathematics instruction by taking into consideration of demographic factors. Within the theoretical frame, education program, learning-instruction process, learning approaches (behaviorist theory, cognitive theory, constructivist theory) affect this process and mathematic instruction were discussed.The study was carried by means of an experimental group ? a control group. The differences between the experimental group and control group were analyzed following the experimental process. The population of the study is the students at 7th classes in Esenyurt Central Elementary School in Esenyurt town of Istanbul province while the 2009-2010 Training and Education Year. And the sample of the study is formed of 108 students at 7th classes in Esenyurt Central Elementary School in Esenyurt town.The constructivist and traditional instruction application form the independent variable of the study and the success levels of the students form the dependent variable of it. Mathematic success test, mathematic attitude scale and personal information form were used while the collection of the data. And independent sample t test and variance analysis (ANOVA), correlation analysis were used while the analysis of data.
