Soil types, problems and soil improvement methods of Yapraklı (ÇANKIRI) Bridge Intersection in Uluyazı location

There has been an increase in the vehicle population that preferred in transportation depending the increase in population throughout the our country. The roads used in urban and intercity transportation have become unable to meet the traffic load due to the increase in the vehicle population. It will be an effective solution to minimize the current traffic density in order to keep the traffic load at an affordable level. In order to provide the aforementioned solution, many projects such as multi-lane road, crossroad and bridge construction are implemented throughout our country. As a result of the experiments and calculations made on the ground where such projects will be implemented; Many soil problems may be encountered such as insufficient bearing capacity, ground subsidence and liquefaction of ground are expected. There are many soil improvement methods that applicable on the ground to solve these problems. Within the context of this master thesis; On the determination of the soil types, soil problems and the soil improvement method to be applied in order to solve the soil problems at the Uluyazı location of the Yapraklı crossover road in Çankırı province Merkez district, which is under construction, the studies carried out by the respective company in the field were examined and knowledge was obtained on these issues.
